Exhibit Group says creativity and the technology to deliver it are key

Three years ago, when I visited the Exhibit Group in Carros (near Nice, France), the company’s workforce included 65 employees. Today it employs more than 100 people, with diverse skills and competences. The company is now located in two buildings alongside the main road in Carros, an office building and PixeoLab, and the wide-format print and finishing production unit.

The Exhibit Group is an amalgamation of sign and wide-format print companies located across France. It links the PACA region, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, with the Exhibit Group in Carros (France) and Exhibit Monaco in Monte Carlo. There are also two sales offices in Marseille and Lyon and a company in the Paris region, Felix & Co, leaders in communication, decoration events, shows, fashion, cosmetics, sporting activities, and more.

Responding to the demand for rigid materials

The company is a true early adopter of EFI™ VUTEk® technology and the introduction of the new EFI VUTEk GS3250LX LED flatbed printer will continue this trend. Exhibit Group also uses other printers and cutters involving techniques such as dye sublimation, latex and flatbed UV, but remains convinced of the superiority of VUTEk printers. The EFI VUTEk GS5000r roll-to-roll UV printer was purchased in 2013 to produce a wide range of flexible materials for various signage projects. Most of these involve creative projects for major events and signage in the Provence Alpes-Côte d´Azur and Paris regions.
“We recently did a lot of work for the Allianz stadium in Nice on account of the European football championship,” says Managing Director Julien Rivaton. “The new GS3250LX LED UV printer is fast and fills a gap we had in pro-duction. Rigid products coming from this printer dry almost immediately because of its LED drying system. It can rapidly change from job to job even in a 24/7 production cycle. And very important, our corporate responsibility dictates that we must ensure that all materials, ink, media and other components are sustainable, biologically degradable or recyclable.”

Capable of delivering very large projects

Rivaton is convinced, and already noticing, that even very large customers are interested in the way the Exhibit Group is developing. “We are able to execute large projects very quickly, even last minute, and to provide top quality, highly creative work. We are now a ‘one stop shop’ capable of managing creative ideas, design, print production, finishing and installation. We operate a flexible ordering system that is easy to understand, flexible and greatly benefits our customers,” he says.
“Meanwhile, we are also rapidly developing digital signage, and even the moving parts of our products. We can undertake light installations such as neon and LED, which are sometimes an integral part of a print project, as well as video productions and digital signage.”

Creativity still key

According to Rivaton, creativity is the most relevant driver of the Exhibit Group’s activities. “Accepting and implementing new technology is one of the key drivers of our business. It is an ongoing process. Creativity is the buzzword. We operate in a market of creative customers. They expect us to develop ideas, designs and applications on their behalf and at their level of operation. We are able to provide them with a myriad of superior creative ideas. Because they are constantly looking for applications that enable them to stand out from their com-petitors, our customers are always eager to adopt these ideas. It is the ‘life blood’ of their business in a highly-competitive market.”
